Valley-Wide Cañon City

Project Description:
The Valley-Wide Cañon City project was a foundation-up renovation of an existing bank building originally constructed in 1902 on Main Street. The final result of the remodel was a 16,000 square foot medical/dental office building. The existing antique tin pressed tiles were renovated on the second floor, and the entire east façade was restored to its original condition. There were multiple challenges on this project, including, but not limited to, additional asbestos discovered in the cobbles of the previously inaccessible crawl space, a contractor with limited experience in historical remodels, and pigeon guano causing the old bank sign to fall off the building.
